I have a backlog of photos to share with you. I had a birthday a few weeks ago and walked away with an insane amount of loot--3 Japanese sewing books, a new guillotine-style paper cutter, a handmade knitting needle roll (
thanks, Clare!), and a lot of other things. I'm set. A bunch of us met at the park for lunch, and my sweet husband even treated me with sushi and a caramel apple from the local chocolate shop. Words cannot describe the beauty of the apple. It's tear-worthy.
After my birthday our friends from Minnesota came to visit for a week, which is always a good time. Tiffany and I got hooked on the new HBO show
True Blood. We thrift shopped. We made a trek to the Auburn Street Fair, where homemade donuts are the talk of the town. After the fair we ate donuts, drank wine, and played memory.
I feel like I'm writing a public service announcement.
Bo-ring. I should've just let the photos do the talking. More on
flickr.

I've been doing a lot of catch-up-on-recent-events posts, too. Always interesting to see others' photos. I love the ones at the fair. An enviable birthday haul!
